PFC D’Anthony “DJ” Jamal Jennings, age 26, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born on August 1, 1996 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his sisters Ciara and Makenzie Nolan. He is survived by his parents Kenisha Jennings Nolan, Robert Nolan, Cortez Murray, and Allison Murray; brothers Lucas Nolan, Jakob Nolan, David Nolan, Cortez Murray, Jaden Murray, and Princeton Bell; sisters Jurnee Murray and Nala Murray, grandparents Eunice Jennings, Joseph Jennings, Marcella Nolan, Lula Murray, and James Dixon; Aunts Shauntel Jennings and Paulina Murray; Uncles Steve Jennings, Nathaniel White, Cousins Kaiya Swinger and Stephen Grizzard, several great aunts, great uncles, and cousins, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
PFC D’Anthony Jennings was special to everyone he met, because he was a light in their darkness. He was the type of person that cared and was always there when you needed him the most. DJ’s smile, laughter, and personality brought joy to everyone he was around. Basically, Dee radiated LOVE!
D’Anthony had many interests such as playing and winning games; although, some of those wins were questionable. He also enjoyed playing with his dogs, singing, performing, reading, going to the gun range, but most importantly, he loved just hanging out with family and friends.
DJ loved hard and freely. He was a role model for his siblings and cousins. When he became a Marine, he brought tremendous pride and honor to his family as well as to himself. Not only did Dee give love, he was extremely loved!
The family of PFC Jennings invites friends and relatives to join them in a time of visitation at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 10am to 2pm, with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service beginning in the Spring Hill Funeral Home chapel at 2pm.
Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery has been entrusted with the final care of PFC Jennings. 5110 Gallatin Pike South, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. (615) 865-1101. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
