Dale Joseph Grandbois, age 87 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020. Dale was born in Red Lake Falls, MN the son of Harvey and Velenia (LaPlante) Grandbois both of whom preceded him in death.
Dale served honorably in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. After his service in the Air Force Dale worked as a mechanic on Caterpillar equipment at Thompson and Green Machinery.
Dale is survived by his wife of 51 years Clara “Ruth” Grandbois; sons Donald Grandbois, Ray Carillon (Deb), Robert Carillon (Eddi Jo) and William Carillon (Holly); daughter Debbie Brasfield (John); brothers Alan Grandbois and Jerry Grandbois. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jordan Carillon, Adam Carillon, Christopher Carillon, Skylaur Snelling, Dennis Brasfield, Laura Livadas, Kathleen Carillon Johnson, Ray Carillon Jr., Kevin Carillon and Brian Carillon.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa McKinley and his sisters Dora Mae and Joyce.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216 from 4-8 PM and from 10-12 PM on Friday. Funeral service will be held immediately following at 12 PM in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Anthony Troutt presiding. Burial will take place in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with full military honors being performed at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
