Mr. Darrell Hale Sterry's Obituary
Darrell Hale Sterry was born in Nashville, Tennessee on May 6, 1955. He is survived by his mother, Claudine Sterry; his brother Harold Sterry and his wife, Patsy and their family; his aunt Charslie Holmes; and his cousins David Holmes and wife Susan, Tony Davidson and his wife Katlyn, Denise Pryor and husband Randy, and Donald Crafton. Darrell was predeceased by his father, Ralph Sterry, Sr.; his brother, Ralph Sterry, Jr.; his aunt, Dorothy Crafton; his aunt Margie Angela; and his uncle, Ben Davidson.
Darrell was an accomplished hair stylist who worked in both Tennessee and Florida. As a member of Connell Memorial United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville, TN, he attended Sunday services and drove the church bus for ‘Room in the Inn’, a program that transported the homeless and disadvantaged to Connell Methodist where they were provided a meal and a night’s lodging at no charge. Darrell was also a member of ‘Super Seniors’ at Connell Methodist and enjoyed interacting and traveling with that group. He was also an active associate of twelve step recovery program for over 15 years and annually received a medallion for his participation in its activities.
