Davernis Marvin Moon's Obituary
Davernis Marvin Moon, 77, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023. Born July 18, 1946, in Nashville, he was the son of the late Johnny Moon and Radell Meadows Moon.
Moon will be remembered for his strong work ethic, great sense of humor and the love he had for his family. He was his family’s sole provider and showed his children the value of working hard. He taught his children how to run their own businesses… how to ‘wheel and deal’… how to make money. Moon was very proud of the family he leaves behind.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Johnny Moon, Jr. and Paul Moon.
He is survived by his daughter and caregiver over the last 25 years Crystal Moon Goodin and her husband (his favorite son-in-law) Ronnie; sons Vernis ‘Bubba’ (Meredith) Moon, Jr., Billy (Nicole) Moon, and Wesley (Andrea) Moon; sisters Shirley (Ronald) Eakes, Carlene Jones, and Margaret Fuston; brother William (Gail) Moon; grandchildren Shawn Moon, Danielle Alfano, Hayley Bailey, Zach Moon, Zoey Moon, and Aubrey Moon; great grandchildren Brantley, Presley, and Kason.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 9 am until 12 pm noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 pm noon with Alec Cort officiating. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
