Mr. David A. Burr's Obituary
David A. Burr, age 83, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margret Louise Burr; step son, Randy; his parents, Arthur H. Burr and Ruth Ashabraner Burr; brothers, Morris, Fred, James, Billy, Robert, Arthur and sister Roberta Fizer. He is survived by step son, Bobby Nuhn, grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy, Elsie, Bett, Sue, several nieces and nephews. Early on David was a truck driver and employee of Peterbilt. He ended his professional career as a State Trooper with the Tennessee Highway Patrol after 20 years of service. David proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1960. Visitation for David will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from Noon to 1:00 PM, at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be conducted from the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Serenity Mausoleum at Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Tennessee Highway Patrol Retired Officers Association, P.O. Box 437, Hermitage, TN, 37076, in David’s memory.
