Mr. David Lee Evetts' Obituary
David Lee Evetts, age 79, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019. He was born on October 15, 1940 in Pleasant Shade, in Smith County, Tennessee to the late Dennis H. Evetts and Delcie Catherine Gammon.
David served his country proudly in the Army Reserve. He was a member of the Madison Masonic Lodge #762. David retired from Odom’s Country Sausage after 35 years of service as their database manager. He was of the Missionary Baptist faith. He loved sports and was a fan of the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Braves, and Vanderbilt University athletics.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Ann Evetts; children Leigh Anne (Matthew) Clark and Paul Bryan (Shandi) Evetts; sister Betty Evetts Cupples; grandchildren Jared Clark, Heidi Matthews, Rocky Matthews, Brayden Clark, Noah Evetts, Joey Evetts and Whitley Evetts; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday November 11, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Tuesday November 12 at 10 AM with Kenneth Massey officiating. The family will receive friends and visitors one hour prior to services. Pallbearers will be George Callis, Andrew Callis, Jared Clark, Brayden Clark, Noah Evetts, and Rocky Matthews. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
