Mr. David Abbott Kent's Obituary
Mr. David Abbott Kent, age 65 of Chapmansboro, Tennessee passed away December 16, 2023. He was born on October 18, 1958 to the late Howard and Reba Kent. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Kimberly Kent and brother Alan Kent. He is survived by his sisters Annette Kent and Claudia Kent Whitaker (John), loving companion Lori Brown, Kelly Burns (Michael), Kristi Brown, and his nieces and nephews, Whitney Whitaker Mahan (Bryan), Dr. Austin Whitaker (Rachel) and Chase Fehland.
David was in the first graduating class of Pioneer Christian Academy and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at East Tennessee State University. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from the State of Tennessee and began his second career at Graduate Hotel as a Maintenance Engineer. He was a member of DeMolay & Past Master Councilor of Neale M. Rutland Chapter. He was a huge animal lover and had a servant heart. He was a good man and would do anything he could to help others.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023, 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday. His family and close friends will serve as pallbearers. Entombment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in the Serenity Chapel Mausoleum.
