Mr. David Martinie's Obituary
David Arnold Martinie, age 66, of Goodlettsville passed away on February 4, 2015. David was born in Nashville on July 10, 1948 to Raymond Martinie and Bobby Jean Nipper Martinie.
His family recalls that David was a hard worker and an honest man. He was a “straight shooter” who wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. He loved his wife of 38 years, Mary, and his children and grandchildren. Often, he showed his love by picking at them, calling them names, and just being ornery. But, they were taken care of, and they speak of him with love.
David loved to fish. He was in numerous bass tournaments and bought a bass boat last year. Mary would often accompany him on his fishing trips.
David is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Donna Nash, Annette Danforth, Margaret Bailey; son, David Michael Martinie; sisters, Rose Shryock, Elizabeth Scott, Sherrel Franceschini, Barbara Kemp, and Wanda Andreu; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
