Mr. David Allen Merritt's Obituary
David Allen Merritt, 58, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home. Born April 26, 1962 in Nashville, he was the son of the late Dorothy Day.
David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired from Fences Unlimited where he’d been a fence builder. He enjoyed going to BINGO with his wife and was a diehard Tennessee Titans fan.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Beckham; brother Tommy Merritt.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Emma Merritt; daughter Tangerine (Dakota) Shutt; sons Deo Merritt, and David (Anna) Merritt; grandchildren Makayla Shutt, Dakota A. Shutt, and Melanie Harp.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 18th, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Monday, October 19th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
