Mr. David R. Seifert's Obituary
David R. Seifert, 64, of Carmel, IN passed away peacefully in his home on February 15, 2016 with his beloved wife, Letha by his side.
David was born October 21, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri. David is survived by sons, Brian Seifert and Eric Seifert and stepsons, Phillip (Anna), David, and Brandon Maddox, and three grandchildren, Lily, Eden, and Archer Maddox. Also surviving are David's brother and sister in law, Jim and Jane Seifert, of Ballwin, MO.
David was a very dedicated and successful businessman. An experienced multi-channel retail executive, he was on the cutting edge of the ecommerce business having launched ServiceMerchandise.com in 1999. He led and developed ecommerce activities for Bass Pro Shops, Springfield, MO, Finish Line, and Lids Corporation, Indianapolis, IN. His specialties included Interactive Marketing, Site Operations, Web Usability, Analytics, and Direct to Consumer Operations, Social Commerce, Site Content and Web Community. David's contributions to his field earned him many awards and recognition.
Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, February 26th at 12:00PM with one-hour prior visitation at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216.
