Deborah Ann Parsley's Obituary
Deborah Ann Parsley, 62, passed away on July 24th 2023 at her home in Gallatin, TN after a brief battle with ESRD. Born in Man, WV, she was the daughter of Conley Parsley Sr. and Icy Parsley. Debbie spent many years beside friends she considered family as an assistant and event planner in the country music community, Opryland, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Debbie enjoyed traveling, listening to music, feeding the birds and squirrels in her backyard, watching football, and spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for living her life optimistically without fail. She was always smiling and encouraging others to live happily. Most importantly, Debbie will be fiercely missed because she poured unconditional love and support into family, friends, and even those that she never met.
Debbie was preceded in death by and reunited with her mother, Icy Parsley, brother, Conley Parsley Jr., grandparents Hiram and Anna Parsley and Linco and Evaline Blankenship, grandfather Thomas Damron, and aunt Wanda Evans.
Debbie is survived by her father, Conley Parsley Sr. and wife Christine Parsley, niece Patricia Cathryn Parsley Dale and husband Adam Ryan Dale, nephew Bennett Conley Parsley and wife Kristen Diane Flanders, great-nephews Asher Ryan Dale and Tobias Patrick Dale, and sister-in-law Lori Paynter Parsley. She is also survived by close friends including Chuck McDowell and Jo-Ellen Drennon McDowell, Jessica Pfranger, Darla Cole, and so many other precious friends who have been a magnificent part of Debbie’s life.
The family cordially invites guests and relatives for a time of visitation on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023, from four o'clock in the evening until seven o'clock in the evening, and on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, from one o'clock in the afternoon until two o'clock in the afternoon, with a chapel funeral service at two o'clock in the afternoon with burial to follow at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
Pallbearers will be Rod Hansen, Alex Krompic, Aaron Mayo, Chuck McDowell, Bennett Parsley, and Dale Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Dale, Asher Dale, and Tobey Dale.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Shriners Hospitals for Children: Shriners Children’s.
