Delmer Raymond Guinn's Obituary
GUINN, Delmer Raymond, Age 87, of Nashville, TN passed away January 22, 2010. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army Signal Corps in the Pacific. He was retired from the US Postal Service and a member of the Inglewood Church of the Nazarene. Delmer is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Juanita Lawley Guinn, and by his siblings Floral Guinn, Earl Guinn, Jamie Guinn, Evelyn Lutz, Robbie Guinn, and Christine Lawrence. He is survived by his sons Donald (Fay) Guinn of Jonesboro, AR, and Ralph (Annette) Guinn of Jay, OK; and by his daughter Laurie (Martin) Ball of Nashville. Also surviving are his five grandchildren, Damon (Paula) Guinn of Kansas City, Cullen Guinn of Portland, OR, Nicholas (Katie Rae) Guinn of Jonesboro, AR; Ashley (Adam) Ray and Gina Guinn of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Ellie, Parker, Brecker, and Oliver; many nieces and nephews; and his older sister, Lorene Gibson. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3PM to 7PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10AM to 11AM with a service to follow in the chapel with Rev. Andy Ingram officiating. He often said he didn’t need flowers at his funeral. Memorials may be a gift to the Nashville Union Rescue Mission, the Salvation Army, a church or charity of your choice, or by the act of helping someone in need.
