Ms. Delores Jean Gentry's Obituary
Ms. Delores Jean Gentry, age 84 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020. She was born on December 9, 1935 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late William Freeman and Alice Virginia Collier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Norman Carl Gentry, her children Deborah Pye Kimbrell and Thomas Dewayne Kimbrell, her sisters Louise Hite, Nila Cooper, Juanita Smithson, and Jerry Jenkins. She is survived by her daughter Alice Christy Castle, her sons Kenneth Kimbrell (Judith Ann) and Charles Carlton (Madelyn), stepdaughter Terryl Rushing, brother A.J. Collier (Sandy), 10 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Ms. Gentry was a kind, loving, and caring soul who was always willing to help anyone in need. She was an amazing caregiver to her family, and she loved to travel - especially to go sightseeing in the Smoky Mountains.
Ms. Gentry will be laid to rest at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 10am. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Ms. Gentry. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. (615) 865-1101. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
