Mrs. Delores Catherine Tomlinson's Obituary
Delores Tomlinson Catherine, age 90, of Whites Creek, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 in Naples, FL. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Delorses is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Beula Bernhardt; her husband of 44 years, John Everett; one sister, Louise Wilson; three brothers, Charles Bernhardt, Kenneth Bernhardt, Donald Bernhardt. She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca T. Quinby, Rachel D. Tomlinson, Robin Tomlinson Johnson (Dave); one son, Anthony Tomlinson (Christy); two grandchildren, John Warren Tomlinson, John Russell Johnson; great granddaughter Aubrey. Delores was a homemaker and very involved with her children and grandchildren and was known for her good cooking and jam cakes. She often presided over PTA meetings, organized trips to the children’s theater and often transported her children to sporting events. She loved German Shepherds and owned many over the years. Delores was strong in her faith and was involved with the church and often lead the women’s bible study group. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11 am on the grounds of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Friends of Strays (friendsofstrays.com) 2911 47th Ave. N Street, St. Petersburg, FL. in Delorse’s memory.
