Ms. Diana Blackwell Robinson's Obituary
Diana Blackwell Robinson, age 66, of Nashville Tn., passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Robinson, and father, Joe Blackwell. Diana is survived by her mother, Jennie Coles Blackwell, sister Lisa (David) Blackwell Miller, brothers Steve (Julie), Tommy and John (Christy) Blackwell, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Diana was the oldest of five children and naturally assumed the role as the second mother of this crew. With both parents working and her mother completing her college degree in the summers, she was often nanny, cook, referee and director of fun and games for her four siblings. While attending Cheatham County High School (class of 1974) Diana fell in love with acting, writing and production of high school plays. Gladly tossing her second mother role for pursuit of her dramatic arts degree at MTSU (class of 1978), Diana thrived with new found friends and possibilities.
Diana’s passionate Christian faith led her to a 37-year career at Faith Is The Victory Church in Nashville. Whether writing and directing Christmas plays, directing weddings, or managing everything the staff threw at her, Diana’s creativity and dedication was always on display. When her future husband, George Robinson, found his way to her church, he never stood a chance at resisting her charm and flowing red hair.
Last but not least, Diana treasured her family and friends and dedicated much of her free time pampering them with her love, gifts and wit. She is already dearly missed.
Visitation will start at 11:00 am followed by the service at 1:00 pm January 2, 2023 at Faith is the Victory Church, 3344 Walton Lane, Nashville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CVT fund for Faith is the Victory Church
