Dickey Burrus Wilee's Obituary
WILEE, Dickey Burrus age 79 of Nashville went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2010. Preceded in death by parents Clifton O. Wilee and Edna Swift Wilee and 10 siblings. Survived by loving and devoted wife of 52 years Susie M. Wilee, daughters Karen Sue (Mike) Perry, Beth Wilee (Lee) Jones, and Sandi Wilee (Alex) Irons. Grandchildren Misty R. Caldwell, Wendy K. Caldwell, Austin Lee Jones, Kendall D. Irons, and Sydney E. Irons and countless loving family and friends. Mr. Wilee served in the US Navy for 4 years and was employed by Bell South for 42 years finishing his career as supervisor of Central Operations. He was a lifetime member of Jackson Park Church of Christ and served as a deacon. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 21, 2010 at 2PM in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Olive officiating. Interment will follow in the historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of Jackson Park Christian Home, Baptist Hospital 5th floor Cardiac Care Unit and employees of Odyssey Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Jackson Park Church of Christ. Visitation with the family will be Sunday 2 til 8PM and again on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 11AM till the time of the service at 2PM at SPRING HILL FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 5110 Gallatin Rd., at Briley Pkwy.
