Mrs. Dixie P. Moore's Obituary
Dixie P. Moore, age 88, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016. Dixie was born to Jolly and Dora (Jones) Linville in Lafayette, Tennessee on October 12, 1927.
Dixie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Dixie had a great sense of humor and a quick wit.
Dixie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard B. Moore; her sons, Michael Moore, Howard B. Moore, Jr., Jackie R. Moore, and Steven Moore. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffery Letner and granddaughter, Jennifer Letner; in addition to her sisters, Bonnie Gentry and Lois Watts.
Dixie is survived by her son, Donald R. Moore; daughters, Deborah Elkins, and Barbara Mitchell; her grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Jeremy Moore, Gregory Moore, David Malen, Donald Moore, Jr., Wendy Moore, Brooke Kellogg, Mahlon Moore, Ashley Muller, Rachael Elkins, and Amanda Whitefield. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Annalee Carmen and Doris Moon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 and Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 10am-8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 1pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
