Mrs. Dolores "DoDo" Krech Carter's Obituary
Dolores Krech Carter, age 83 of Hermitage and longtime resident of Madison, passed away February 1, 2014. Mrs. Carter was born on April 18, 1931 to the late Charles William Krech, Sr. and Jamie Beatrice Krech. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles William Krech, Jr. She was a 1949 graduate of Isaac Litton High School; longtime member of City Road United Methodist Church and a member and supporter of the Nashville Swiss Society for over 50 years. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edwin Morton Carter, Jr.; her daughter, Susan Ellen Carter and her husband, Ronald J. Ladd of Grapevine, TX; and her son, Edwin M. Carter, III and wife, Penni of Estill Springs, TN; sister, Merrell Ann Dancer and husband, Irby of Nashville, TN; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters, sister-in-law, Doris Howard and husband, Lawrence of Huntsville, AL; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Carter and wife, Chris of Plant City, FL. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 5th at 1:00 P.M. in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Dr. Ron Lowery officiating. Active pallbearers will be Daniel Odom, Will Odom, Caleb Carter, Ethan Carter, Lucas Medlin, Bill Seals and Allen Pendarvis. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4th from 5-8 P.M. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to City Road United Methodist Church.
