Mr. Domingo Lopez Ortiz's Obituary
Domingo Lopez Ortiz, 50, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was born in Cubulco, Baja Verapaz, Guatemala on February 28, 1970.
Domingo was a very godly man who was steadfast in his faith and in his community. He served as an Usher Director in at Casa De Dios, USA here in Nashville. Domingo served his country for two years in the Guatemalan Military before moving to the United States and has lived here for 23 years. He loved playing soccer in his free time and has 14 first place medals to show for it as he played for various teams over the years his most recent being Deportivo Chapines. Domingo graduated from the Rhema Theological School through his church which cemented him as a leader in the church. He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Domingo found great passion in teaching his grandchildren the game of soccer over the years.
Domingo is survived by his wife Rosa Izaguirre Viron; daughter Lucia Angelica Lopez Izaguirre (Ricardo Brito); sons Juan Carlos Lopez Izaguirre (Kimberly Diaz), Luis Antonio Lopez Izaguirre (Palmira Medina); sisters Angelina Lopez, Celestina Lopez; brothers Juan Lopez and Lorenzo Lopez. He is also survived by four grandchildren Daniel Alejandro Lopez, William Joel Lopez, Rosa Catarina Brito and Pedro Emmanuel Brito.
Domingo’s visitation and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 10 AM-12 PM at the Casa De Dios, USA Church at 3030 Dickerson Pike Nashville, TN 37216. Please wear white clothes in sign an Angel has return to Heaven. There will be a graveside ceremony, on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Pike South, Nashville, TN 37216.
