ATWOOD Sr., Donald B., RMCS Senior Chief Petty Officer – U.S. Navy-Retired, 68, of Antioch, TN passed away September 26, 2015. Born on April 8, 1947 in Madison, TN to William M. Atwood and Ruby Johnson Redmond. He was preceded in death by both parents and his wife Billie K. Atwood; brother, Mickey Atwood; sister, Sue Woodroof.
Survived by his daughter, Melissa K. Bryant; son, Donald B. (Debbie Condrey) Atwood Jr.; brothers, Ray Atwood and Colonel (Ret) William Redmond; sisters, Linda Atwood, Cheryl Thompson, Janie Redden and Jeanne Fields; grandchildren, Logan Bryant, Sarah Dejong, Andrew Dejong, Gabe Condrey and Annabelle Byrd.
A Celebration of Mr. Atwood’s life will be on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery at 1 p.m. on the day of the service. Pallbearers will be Kelly Woodroof, Joshua Redmond, Joey Thompson, Cory Thompson, James Michael Boyte and Eric Gabriel Condrey. Honorary pallbearers will be PNCM Master Chief Petty Officer U.S. Navy retired Charles (Charlie) E. Crow, Dr. Christopher Holloway, Jason Burnett, Jacob Redmond, Linda Robinson, Logan Bryant, Jaxon Thompson and Elijah Thompson. Pastor Chuck Reed will be officiating.
