Donald Bethea, DDS, MS, age 84, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Joseph Bethea; one daughter, Carolyn Suzette Bethea; and three sisters, Lora Savage, Read Obituary
I worked for Dr Bethea during the 70's he was a great boss and a fantastic dentist. I will miss him. Took my son Nicholas to him from age 3 to 16. Becky and Dr Bethea were good friends with my Mom and Dad.

Dr. Bethea was such a kind and gentle man. I enjoyed being in his room and working wirh him when he and his team came to Tennessee Christian medical center.
Dr Bethea was my employer from May 1983-1991. He was a great dentist that cared about his patients. He absolutely LOVED dentistry. He has so much energy; I was 23 when I started working for him. I had 2 children while employed there and he treated them like they were his grandchildren. He also led me to study about the Bible and learn truths that I'd never heard of before. Because of his leadership, my family of 5 are Seventh Day Adventists. I learned so much working for him! He not only did quality restorative work, but also did orthodontics and really was a pioneer in that field. He was treating patients with new techniques before the orthodontists did! His love for his profession, patients and staff were very evident. I later went on to become a dental hygienist (even though he encouraged me to become a dentist) and feel that because of what he taught me, I can help guide parents to get quality care for their children. I really loved him and will miss him greatly! Prayers for his sweet family🙏
Dr. Bethea was my dentist from the age of four to 25. He started doing ortho work againnecause he said," they will not pull my babies teeth." He always advised me all the way through the years in my teeth. He gave me a job in college and taught me everything he knew and I have never forgotten it. He and his staff were family that I love to this day. I love him as a dad. I will always have wonderful memories of him and the staff. My prayers go out to his family whom he loved dearly. He left a wonderful legacy to be proud of and gave people beautiful smiles. May God bless you all.
