Mr. Donald Edmond King Jr.'s Obituary
Donald Edmond King, Jr., age 75, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Born October 20, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Donald Edmond King, Sr., and Alice Elizabeth Carroll King.
Mr. King was retired from the United States Navy. He was also retired from Willis Corroon Insurance Company. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Madison. In his spare time, he enjoyed volunteering for AmVets Post 1776. Of all of his life’s accomplishments, Donald was most proud of his family. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Debbye Swarthout.
He is survived by his daughter Kelly Kathleen (Jeff) Boyce; grandchildren Steven Carter and Brittany (Travis) Ensey; great granddaughter Emmarie Rose; brother Thomas King; sisters Judy Jackson, Suzanne Horton, and Dianne (Ray) Bryan; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, August 20, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM. Burial with military honors will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the AmVets Post 1776.
