Mr. Donnie Alton Ray's Obituary
Donnie A. Ray, age 46, of Nashville, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015. He was born November 30, 1968 in Dyersburg, TN where he was also raised. Donnie graduated Dyer County High School prior to moving to Nashville. He was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church for the past six years and has worked at Wal-Mart (West Nashville) for 20 years. Donnie is preceded in death by his father, Bobby A. Ray.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jessica Joslin (Jesse); longtime girlfriend, Janice Rogers; brother, Terry Redmond (Amy); sisters, Betty Flora and Candi Hursey; nephews, David Blurton (Mallory), Jake Flora and Eric Canady; and longtime friends, Terry Rogers and Troy Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 – 12 p.m. Thursday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Spring Hill Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Kevin Shrum officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
