Mr. Donnie L. Runion's Obituary

Mr. Donnie L. Runion, 85, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee. Born October 13, 1934, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Charlie H. “Buck” Runion and Eva Bottoms Runion.
Mr. Runion served his country proudly in the United State Air Force and later retired from the Tennessee Air National Guard and served with the Tennessee State Guard. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Nashville campus. Donnie had also retired after 30 years of service from Lifeway Christian Resources. He retired after 20 years as Vice President of Southern Trophy House. He was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Betty Roberts, Bobby Runions, and Hurschel Runion; and his granddaughter Rachel Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Runion; son Charles (Connie) Runion; daughters Melinda (Dan) Ward, and Michelle Lepley;step-daughter Kim (Mike) McGee; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service accompanied by military honors will take place at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Hendersonville First Baptist Church Mission Program, Hendersonville, TN.
