Mr. Donnie L Smith's Obituary
Donnie Lee Smith, 65, of Nashville, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Murfreesboro VA Medical Center after battling an illness. He was born February 28, 1950 to the late Cloyd Smith Sr. and Mrs. Cleadius Smith Sloss and step father Sullivan Sloss Sr. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Wade Smith; Grandparents, Irene Foster, Mr. Johnny Adkison; step grandfather, James Foster and neice Veronica Dalton.
Donnie attended Metro Public Schools in Davidson County. He served three years in the United State Army as a PFC.
He is survived by his son, Don Hyler; grandchildren, Dominic and Déonna Hyler and Breiauna Trotter; brothers, Ronnie Smith, Cloyd Smith, Charles Smith, Paul Sloss, Sullivan Sloss, and William Sloss; sisters, Robbie Smith and Yolanda Sloss; and also a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, January 2. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
