Dora Elizabeth Rankhorn's Obituary
RANKHORN, Dora Elizabeth Walker Crecelius of Joelton, age 95 departed this life July 17, 2009. Born September 5, 1913. She was the daughter of George Marshall Walker And Clara Ona Felts. A native of Coopertown, TN, she was descended from pioneer families of Robertson County. Dora resided in Davidson County for many years. She was a 1932 graduate of Cumberland High School. A member of Grace Baptist Church since 1938 where she served as a Sunday School teacher and in many other capacities. She was president of the Little Creek Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husbands Buford Crecelius and Carney Rankhorn. Survivors include brother Kenneth Walker (Mary), sister Beverly Lee, her children Ray Crecelius (Betty), Gary Crecelius (the late Debbie), Carl Crecelius (Janet) and Ann Crecelius (Bill Loviza); step-daughters Cathey Bartlett (Alan), and Jeanne Rankhorn, three grandchildren Cindy Woodall, Stephen Crecelius, and Michael Crecelius, and six great grand children. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Funeral 2PM Tuesday at Grace Baptist Church with visitation at the church from 12-2. Interment to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Bro. Andre' Dugger and Bro.Courtney Wilson officiating. Pall bearers: Joe Hampton Jr.,Glynn Arnold, Earl Ray Melton, David Williams, Rick Davis, and Bill Brewer.
