Mrs. Dora McWhorter's Obituary
Dora McWhorter of White House, TN. Went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2018. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Ben McWhorter; parents, Lonnie Jones and Bessie Tharp Jones; daughter, Brenda Nelson; brothers, Edward Jones, Glenn Jones; sister, Doris Martin; grandson, Brent McWhorter; and daughter-in-law, Becky McWhorter.
She is survived by her son, Frank McWhorter; daughter, Beth (Steve) Phillips; sister, Lynette Hall; grandchildren, Tracy (Jamie) Wilson, Ashley (Gorden) Storke, Christy Nelson, Jordan Phillips; and great-grandchildren, Haley Parkhurst, Logan Wilson, Riggin Storke, Camden Storke, Taylor Nelson, Tristan Leopold, Trenton Leopold, Jayden Phillips.
Dora was a kind and gentle spirit. She was strong in her faith and found comfort in church and prayer. She was very family oriented and enjoyed working with young people. Dora was a loving woman who touched the lives of so many. She will truly be missed.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 11am to 12pm at Spring Hill Funeral home. A celebration of life Ceremony will take place following the visitation at noon.
