Mrs. Doris J. Ferrell's Obituary
Doris J. Ferrell, age 86 of Goodlettsville passed away October 29, 2014. Mrs. Ferrell was born on November 14, 1927 in the Amqui Community of Madison in Davidson County to the late Joe and Nannie Johnson. A lifelong resident of Goodlettsville, Mrs. Ferrell was a member of Walkers United Methodist Church for over 60 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Comer Ferrell and her sister, Margie Martin. She is survived by her daughters, Freda Seals (Bill) and Jackie Payne; grandsons, Greg Seals, Joe Payne (Alicia) and Josh Payne; several great-grandchildren; and sister Freda Horton. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 1st at 10:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Virginia Kessen and Rev. Bill Roark officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, October 31st from 5-8 P.M. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Walker’s United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville.
