Ms. Doris Jean "Vickie" McDonald's Obituary
Doris Vick McDonald passed away on June 23, 2015 after battling dementia over the last few years. Doris was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 25, 1922 to John Arnold Vick and Minnie May Vick. She is preceded in death by her parents and four other brothers and sisters.
Doris was employed for 45 years by Genesco and worked as equipment purchaser for the company. While at Genesco, she enjoyed her work, being on their bowling teams, and earlier working with the softball league and women’s basketball. After retirement from Genesco, Doris worked for the State of Tennessee, Department of Education.
She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Madison, Tennessee. She will be missed by those she loved.
Visitation for Doris will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015, from 4pm until 6pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home, with Rosary service at 6pm. Father Tomy Joseph will lead a Funeral Mass for Doris on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10am at St. Joseph Church. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.
