Mrs. Doris Jean Redding's Obituary

Doris Jean Redding, 80, of Goodlettsville, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee. Born August 11, 1941 in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Aubrea Louise Morgan McCarrell.
Mrs. Redding was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly. She was a proud retiree from Metro Nashville Public Schools where she was a cafeteria manager for 30 plus years. She was a proud member of the Elks Lodge 2473.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lee Boyd Redding; sister Geraldine Greer; daughter-in-law Cheryl Redding.
She is survived by her sons Lee Miles Redding and Calvin Boyd (Tina Pack) Redding; grandsons Robert Lee Redding and Randall Glen Redding; granddaughters Brandie Michelle (David) Wilson, Tara (Trey) Keith, and Tamara Pack; great grandchildren Callie Gabel, Eric Gabel, Isabella Keith, Nevaeh Pack, Maddie Keith, Amirah Pack, and Benjamin Lee Redding.
Visitation will take place at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville on Wednesday, October 6, from 4 PM until 8 PM. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service officiated by Brother Mike Mayo will take place on Thursday, October 7 at 12 PM noon at the funeral home. Family will receive friends and visitors two hours prior to the funeral. Pallbearers will be Randy Redding, Robby Redding, Josh Clendenin, Andrew Hayes, Richard Graves, and Timmy Clayborn. Entombment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
