Mrs. Doris Rena "McCaleb" Claud's Obituary
Doris Rena “McCaleb” Claud of Hendersonville TN, 86 yrs., went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 23, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Claud; parents, Walter McCaleb and Vinnie Myrtle Scruggs; one brother, J.W.; and one sister, Frances.
She is survived by three children, sons, Charles “Eddie” Claud, Jeff (Annette) Claud; daughter, Kim (James) Claud Averitt; 3 sisters, Helen, Pat and Rochelle. The “McCaleb” girls; Doris was a loving “Nannie” to grandchildren, Walter Claud, Max Claud, Kira Cleveland, Amirah Bare; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition, she has numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris was a graduate of DuPont High School and was a woman of strong faith. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. Doris was loved by all who knew her, and she is already missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love, honesty and strength.
A celebration of Nannie’s life will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Monday, September 26, 2016 from 2pm- 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
Celebration will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, visitation at 1pm and services begin at 2pm.
