I have just heard of Dot's passing. She as a Southern Belle personified. Dot was one of the first folks I met when I came to the Chattanooga (SCB) Business Office. She was one of the sweetest, kindest, funniest, most genteel ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. R.I.P. Ms. Dot!

I will never forget my little friend, Dot, she was a trooper. We met when she came to Chattanooga to work with us at the telephone co.. She was a joy to know and so much fun to work with. I will remember her soft voice, her laughter, her impeccable dress. a true southern lady. May GOD grant you the peace only he can give.
Dot was a treasure, she loved Carney and Brad so very much....

While I never got to know Dot well, I do have warm memories of seeing her frequently join in at Burgundy Farm family events—always with a smile, helping hand or good story. I was often entertained and moved by your stories of her Carney, told with obvious love and affection at our book club meetings, and I admired what a close family and obvious influence she had on you (and Brad). What a wonderful legacy to leave! I know she will be greatly missed but always remembered.

Dot was a real friend to all in our Bellsouth business office. So soft spoken I had to strain my ears to hear a lot of times. I could call her a gentle person with magic hands . Rubbed our necks that were tired and stiff from work. I really don’t think she ever had a mean thought about anything and she built people up instead of tearing them down. She often called me Marilyn ( after Marilyn Monroe) . Definitely made me feel great. When she retired she gave me an umbrella she kept in her desk to use but told me when I retired I should do the same . God has a new ray of sunshine and bubbling laughter in heaven .
