Mrs. Dorothy Bearden's Obituary
Dorothy Jean “Dot” Bearden, age 82, of Hendersonville passed away on December 4, 2014. Mrs. Bearden was born on July 15, 1932 to the late Karl and Margaret Davidson. Dot was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Dot loved animals – it was a trait that she passed down to her children. She loved dogs so much that she once drove hundreds of miles to rescue an abandoned pup. She also enjoyed antiquing and tending to her yard and her flowers.
In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Robert I. Bearden. She is survived by her children, Sharon (John) Seifert, Robert (Darlene) Bearden, Jr., Debbie (James) Choate; sister, Gayle (Danny) Trent; grandchildren, Chris (Cynthia) Seifert, Carrie (Jason) Crownover, Mindy (Matt) Porter, Kim Choate, Brandy Cotner, Ashley Bearden, Dawn (Scott) Warner, Brett (Kathryn) Truka, Marc Truka, Andy (J.J) Sisco; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Dot’s family will receive friends and visitors on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 4pm until 6pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be on Monday, December 7, 2014 from 10am until 11am. Pastor Jeremy Squires will lead a Celebration of Life Service to honor Dot on Monday, December 7, 2014 at 11am from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Sunny Meade Garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
