Mrs. Dorothy Brinkley Blevins' Obituary
Dorothy Brinkley Blevins, age 81, went to be with her heavenly father on Christmas Day 2015. She was born June 1, 1934 in Decatur, AL to the late Richard and Ethel Brinkley. She is also preceded in death by her son, Mark Byron Blevins; and brothers, Ernest and William Brinkley.
Dorothy was a 1953 graduate of East Nashville High School and a longtime member of Goodlettsville Southern Methodist Church. She was a secretary at Hardaway Construction for 45 years until her retirement. Dorothy is remembered by her family as the most loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Byron Blevins; granddaughter, Peyton White; and nieces, Deborah (Danny) Briley and Sherry Hill.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Monday and from 10-12 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Carrier officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
