Ms. Dorothy Ann Donald's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Donald, age 83, passed away on November 19, 2019 in Nashville, TN. She was born March 21, 1936 the daughter of Charles Martin Brown Sr. and Ora Lee (McKay) Brown both of whom preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a lifelong caregiver she was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years and even opened her own nursing home to care for the sick and elderly here in Nashville. Family was the most important thing to Dorothy, coming from a large family being one of 14 children and then having 7 children of her own to look after. She was dedicated to her faith family as well spending any free time she had volunteering at the church with any events or gatherings they had planned. Dorothy loved to cook as well and she was known for her southern cooking of fried chicken, black eyed peas and her famous cornbread. Dorothy will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her brother Floyd “Leachy” Brown (Sheila), children Wilbur Donald Jr. (Lana), Dewayne Donald, Wendell Donald (Rita), Terrance Donald (Christine) and Pamela Donald. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Wilbur E. Donald Sr. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Catherine Brown, Charles Brown, Tommy Brown, Tubby Brown, Geneva Brown, Richard Brown, Milton Brown, Ronnie Brown, J-Bird Brown and sons Timothy Donald and Charles Donald.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM and from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. Dorothy’s funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
