Mrs. Dorothy Hooper's Obituary
Dorothy “Dot” Hooper, Age 73 of Madison, TN, died August 13, 2013. Born February 4, 1940 in Brighton, Alabama to the late Roy and Elfred Dunlap.
Mrs. Hooper worked in real estate property management. She was a member of City Road United Methodist Church. A skilled seamstress and crafter, she loved running her Elf Shelf booth at Christmas Village for nearly 20 years. Mrs. Hooper also enjoyed playing bridge with Hendersonville Duplicate and Vanderbilt Bridge Clubs. She had a generous heart and dedicated herself to family and friends.
Survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Anderson Hooper, Jr.; children David (Rosemarie) Hooper, Kathy (Dewey) Presley, John (Kathy) Hooper, Jim (Becky) Hooper; grandchildren Jeremy Hooper, Joshua Rutledge, Adam (Heather) Hooper, Andy (Christina) Hooper, Michael Hooper, Sophie Hooper; great-grandchildren Madison, Aiden, Jacob, Evie; sister Kit (Robert) Edmonds; brother Keith Dunlap.
A celebration of life service will be conducted on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, Nashville. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 4:00 pm thru 8:00 pm; Spring Hill Funeral Home, Nashville.
