Ms. Dorothy Lee Myers' Obituary
Dorothy Lee Myers, age 89 of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wendell Earl Myers and her son Gary Ellis. She is survived by her children Jim Ellis and Amber Myers, and her three grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved friends and caretakers, who were like family to her, Betty Jo Daniels (who says that Ms. Myers was the closest to a grandmother as she could have ever had) Erika Daniels, Jessica Shell, Terry Davis, and Mary Brown. These women befriended and took in Ms. Myers, and they loved on her and took care of her for many years until her passing. They were a very special part of her life and they will all miss her very much.
Dorothy was quite the character. She was feisty as feisty could be, and although she could be a handful at times, she was loved so dearly by her friends that cared for her. She loved to shop, get her nails done, get her hair done, and loved being pampered. She also absolutely adored country music.
A visitation for Ms. Myers will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from noon-2:30pm with a graveside service to follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care for Ms. Myers. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. “Where Nashville Remembers.”
