Dorothy S. Curtis' Obituary
CURTIS, Dorothy S. of Nashville, TN passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010; she was 84. Mrs. Curtis retired as director of the Tennessee Agricultural Museum and prior to that she was a reading tutor with the Metro School System. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Allen Sidney Curtis and their children, Susan Curtis of New York, NY and Allan Steven Curtis of Santa Fe, NM; her sister, Louise Allsbrooks; niece Ramona "Sissy" Robertson and nephew Ronnie Allsbrooks. Mrs. Curtis was a member of First Church of the Nazarene where she attended the Pate Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 4 to 7PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Rd. and where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 11AM with Dr. William "Bill" Strickland officiating and special music by Rev. Jack Galloway. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive on Thursday one hour prior to service. Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Interment will follow in historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
