Dorothy Smith's Obituary
SMITH, Dorothy Frank of Old Hickory, TN passed away on Monday, June 8, 2009; she was 89. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by Clyde D. Smith, Sr.; daughter, Sharon Black; her sister, Margie Edens; and her granddaughter, Kimberly Price. Mrs. Smith is survived by her loving family; daughters, Shirley Kirby; Sandra (Steve) Bell; sons, Clyde (Sharon) Smith Jr., Raymond Smith; and Stephen (Deborah) Smith; sisters, Martha Ann Schlosser and Janie (Jim) Hayes; grandchildren, Samantha Smith, Jesse Smith, Raymond Smith Jr., Nicholas Smith, Lindsey Smith, Walter Smith, Sara Elkins, David Kirby, Tara Whitworth, and Tyler Black; thirteen great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was a life-long member of Glenwood Baptist Church where she served as a pre-school teacher for many years. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN from 4:00-8:00PM and where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 10:00AM with the Rev. Dr. Carl Hoffman and Rev. Lemuel Wade officiating. Honorary Pallbearers XYZ's Senior Adult Group and Winsome Sunday School Class. Active Pallbearers friends and family. Special thanks to the Donelson Place Heath Care & Rehabilitation Center for all their love and care. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
