Douglas Colbert's Obituary
COLBERT, Douglas; Age 69 of Nashville, TN passed away suddenly June 21, 2010 at his home. He has now joined his eldest daughter Tasha Hamlett. Survivors include his wife, Mary Colbert; son, Ty (Melisa) Colbert; daughter, Tanya Sams; parents, E.W. (Elaine) Colbert and Jacqueline Colbert; brothers, Bill (Virginia) Colbert, Donald Colbert, Carl (Karen) Colbert, Richard (Wanda) Colbert; sister, Lynn Colbert; grandchildren, Matthew Hamlett, Elesha McCluskey, Brandon Cullen, Blake Sams; great-grandson, Luke VanDyne. Mr. Colbert was an employee of Colemill Enterprise for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Isaac Litton High School and a former member of the "Marching 100+" he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he and his wife served as members of the Family Life Committee, he was active in the Shey Club, and he enjoyed his time flying and driving his race cars. He will forever be remembered as a man who was always there for a neighbor in need. Father Joe McMahon will deliver Funeral Mass on Saturday June 26, 2010 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church and School. Pallbearers will be, Richard Hamilton, Larry Loring, Matthew Hamlett, Jim Kelly, Brandon Cullen and Blake Sams. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8PM, and Friday Noon-8PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Walden's Puddle or the Nashville Humane Association.
