Mr. Earl Raymond Fonderwhite Jr.'s Obituary
Earl Raymond Fonderwhite, Jr., age 83 of Nashville, TN, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Meredith; parents, Earl and Virginia Fonderwhite and sisters, May Garman and Kay vonWhite. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Thomas) Patterson of Murfreesboro; sons, David Fonderwhite of Smyrna and Rick (Abby) Fonderwhite of Olympia, WA; eight grandchildren, Tom Patterson, Charity Cerezo, Jesse Folks, Brandy Crutchfield, Jack Fonderwhite, Samantha Shelton, Amber and Ryan Fonderwhite; and eight great-grandchildren, Kendall and Kadyn Cerezo, Caleb, Paige and Ella Patterson, Deon and Haylee Crutchfield, and Brayden Shelton. He was retired Air Force and stationed out of Sewart Air Force Base. During his 20 years of duty, he served in both the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts as a flight engineer and was a recipient of the Air Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross and Silver Star of Valor. He was a member of Dalewood Baptist Church. A celebration of Mr. Fonderwhite’s life will be conducted at 9 AM, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Hale officiating. Entombment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery’s Serenity Chapel Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 4 PM until 7 PM, Tuesday, July 2 and from 8 AM until the time of service Wednesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
