Ms. Earline Jacobs' Obituary
Ms. Earline Jacobs, age 87, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Jacobs, her grandmother, Nannie Mae Hester, her parents, Earl and Bessie Mae Thompson, her sister Bonnie Walker, and her partner, Charles Akersloot. She is survived by her brother, Charles Walker, her three sons, Ron (Peggy Stigall Brodien), Rob (JoAnna), and Rick (Lisa) Jacobs; her grandchildren, Eric Jacobs, Sarah Jacobs, and Cortney Jacobs Levin (Erik); and her great-grandchildren, Hampton, Hudson, and Kingston Levin and Luca Jacobs.
Ms. Jacobs was an all-around amazing person. She was incredibly passionate about her work with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the IRS, where she worked for 47 and a half years. Her family said she would have worked there forever if she could. However, as passionate as she was about her career, she was even more passionate still about her family. She loved her sons (to whom she referred as “The Fabulous R’s”) and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren fiercely. Described by many as caring, open-minded, generous, empathetic, and incredibly witty, Earline was loved by everyone who met her. She was an avid reader and she loved doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, and traveling.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 12 to 4 PM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Nashville. Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery has been entrusted with the final care of Ms. Jacobs. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
