Mr. Edgar C. Overstreet's Obituary
Mr. Edgar C. Overstreet, age 62 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was born to the late Wallace Ray Overstreet, Sr. and Jean Marie Lewis Overstreet on May 29, 1960 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter Ginger Overstreet, brothers Wallace Overstreet, Jr. (Tammy), Charles Overstreet (Maria), Dennis Overstreet (Kay), Ronnie Edmonds, and Jeffery Gay, sister Cindy Overstreet Slack (Curtis), aunts and uncles who were like siblings James Overstreet, Shirley Ogden, Sis Overstreet, Jimmy Overstreet, Raymond Overstreet, Edgar "JR" Overstreet, Kenneth Overstreet, Sue Johnson, and Donna Knox, grandmother who was like a mother to Ed and his siblings Audrey Overstreet, stepmother Sherry Overstreet Forsythe, the mother of his child Beverly Overstreet, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edgar was a good brother, though he would be quick to tell you that he was the “Good Looking One.” He was skilled and passionate about his work as an expert Electrician and Iron Worker. He had a great sense of humor and loved to cut up. He also loved football, and was a big fan of Peyton Manning, and he loved to watch NASCAR racing.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 4pm-8pm. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2pm, with the family receiving visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Overstreet, Kevin Overstreet, Roger Duncan, Michael Rogers, Wallace Overstreet, Jr., and Dennis Overstreet.
