Ms. Edith Black's Obituary
Ms. Edith Mae Black, age 86 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at her home. She was born on January 13, 1934 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Luther and Lillian Black. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Mattiebelle Black and Mary Frances Suggs, and her brothers A.L. Black and Howard Black. She is survived by her children Debbie Buttram, Patricia Self, Sherry Pinsley, Gary McCormick, and Jimmy McCormick, several grandchildren, including Alecia Kuwamoto, Samantha Meneese, Tabatha Logan, Nina Bowman, Danielle Nard, Robert Martin, Benjamin Connely, Clifton Bowman III, and Timothy Bowman. She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, special friend Kim Sikes, and special son-in-law Clifton Bowman, Jr.
Edith was a very special and unique lady. She loved doing embroidery and coloring, as well as canning vegetables from her garden. She was a big time gardener, and she enjoyed growing vegetables, as well as flowers. Her favorite flowers were buttercups and sunflowers. She was a sweet and sassy little firecracker with a giving spirit, and she will be greatly missed.
