Mrs. Edith Mae Elkins' Obituary
Edith Mae Potts Elkins age 98, passed January 7, 2015. She was born May 21, 1916 in Dickson County, Tennessee to the late Ace and Lettie Potts. Preceded in death by her husband Leburn Elkins, son Hugh Elkins, parents, brothers Vernon, Robert, J.T. (Pete) Potts, and sister Mary Lee Grussmeyer. She is survived by children Donna Pugh of Murfreesboro, Ken Elkins of LaVergne, Sandy (Ila) Elkins of Murfreesboro; 3 grandchildren Sheril (Mark) Hipkins, Steve (Jewell) Malone, Tim (Gidget) Pugh, and granddog Yogi; great-granchildren Chris (Renee’) Fults, Meagan Anderson, Tanner and Tabitha Pugh, and Brandon Harris; 1 great-great grandchild Hailey Fults.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015, 12:00 noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home with her grandson Steve Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 11:00a.m-12:00 noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alive Hospice Nashville or Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW of the United States.
