Edith Irene Jenkins Wade's Obituary
EDITH IRENE JENKINS WADE, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025 at the age of 94. Edith was born on October 31, 1931 in Centerville, Tennessee to the late Ollie and Florence Jenkins.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Sherryl Wade and her childhood friends, Sue Bratton and Janie Grisham as well as friends Chara Beniah and Doris Armstrong.
Preceding Edith in death was her husband, Leon Wade, her daughter, Shauna Wade, her son, Jeff Wade, her brother, Kenneth Jenkins, and her sister, Margaret Clark,
Edith was known for her love of her family, friends, and her work. She worked at Dixie Line Credit Union until her retirement. She then worked at Opryland Park and Opryland Hotel for many years.
Edith chose to be cremated and not to have funeral services. Her remains will be placed at the Wade-Peeler cemetery beside her husband’s remains.
