Mrs. Edna Boyte's Obituary
Mrs. Edna Roberta Thompson Boyte, age 92 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on March 27, 2020. She was born on November 2, 1927 in Nashville to the late James and Mary Thompson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first and second husbands Edmund John Ullrich, Sr. and Bud Boyte, her sons Laurence “Sam” Wayne Ullrich and Hight Hastings Ullrich,and her seven siblings. She is survived by her daughter Bobbie Ullrich White, son Edmund John Ullrich, Jr., grandchildren Chris Carroll, John Waylon Ullrich, Samuel Landon Ullrich, Carson Wayne Ullrich, and great-grandson Beau Hawkins Ullrich.
Mrs. Boyte spent most of her life taking care of others. In her earlier years when her family lived in Chicago, Illinois, she was a homemaker and stay at home mother. She retired at age 67 from Tom Joy Elementary School as head cook in their cafeteria, after spending 20 years working in school cafeterias. She also loved the Lord and spent a lot of time serving in her church at Northside Church of Christ.
A visitation and service for the immediate family will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 with the visitation being held from 1-2pm, and the service starting at 2pm. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Mrs. Boyte. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
