Mrs. Edna Sue Roberts' Obituary
Mrs. Edna Sue Roberts, age 85, of Goodlettsville passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016. She was born September 30, 1930 in Nashville to the late Horace and Emeral Anderton. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Bobby Copeland Roberts; son-in-law, Lynn H. Burge, Jr.; and sister, Jewell Casey.
Sue is survived by her children Bobbye Sue Burge, Kay (Tim) Petre, Will (Josie) Hicks; grandchildren, Brian Buchanan, Matthew Burge, Sarah (Ben) Daniel DVM, Laura (Aron) Gregg, Brandon (Jana) Hicks and Hunter (Julie) Hicks; great-grandchildren, Ansleigh, Stella, Jackson, Aubrey, Skylar, Piper, Jessica and Shelby; brothers, William C. (Sue) Anderton, Barry (Marilyn) Anderton; brother-in-law, Joe Casey; and Gracie, her foot warmer.
She worked with the USP&FO for the Tennessee National Guard for 30 years. She loved to travel and visit lighthouses; growing roses; and watching football.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, February 8, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Will Hicks, Brian Buchanan, Matthew Burge, Brandon Hicks, Hunter Hicks, Ben Daniel and Aron Gregg. Visitation will be Sunday 12:00-5:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
