Eddie and I were college roommates ... we attended Wytheville Community College (then part of Va Tech) and we lived in a stately judge's house across the street from the college ... we lived rent free as long as we looked after the house ... the house had a coal furnace which need coal shoved into it a couple times a day ... Eddie was faithful in stoking the furnace, but I had a girlfriend down the street and often neglected my duties ... Eddie and I graduated Va Tech with a two year Associates Degree ... we were off to the VT Main Campus when we decided we should take a year break ... Atlanta was where we decided to go ... we rented rooms again in a stately house off Myrtle Street and little did we know then ... it was only a couple blocks away from the Scene Nightclub and the best burger restaurant ever ... there was even a night club with a Ferris Wheel in it ... all was very close to Georga Tech ... Eddie and I enjoyed Atlanta ... we never got into trouble ... we never did anything stupid ... it was just our adventure before we returned to VT ... Eddie was and will forever be my Best Friend ... Rooker ... I miss you ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ed was a delightful gentleman; always warm, helpful and fun to work with. While Ed had many positive attributes, one of the most conspicuous was his dependability, a trait clients and co workers alike appreciated. Ed represented Willis Corroon faithfully and professionally and was a loyal friend to many both in and outside the workplace. He will be missed by his family and his many friends.

It was an honor to work with Ed for many years. We had stayed in touch after retirement, but I regret our last contact was more than a year ago. Clients and co-workers were always appreciative of Ed’s diligence ands attention to detail in handling issues. Ed will be missed.
