Edward Oscar Hamilton, Sr., 63, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Born February 10, 1958, in Jamestown, New York, he was the son of the late Mary Helen “Hamilton” Reedy.
Eddie was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be missed dearly. He was a carpenter who loved remodeling and building things. He’ll be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his love for his family, and for being outspoken. He also loved his Dodge Challenger and had ridden motorcycles all of his life. He was a fan of Nashville's Tennessee Titans and watching NASCAR on television. Eddie was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid card player who loved playing poker, 313, and Spades. Eddie would do anything for you… as long as he liked you.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother Helen Margaret Brooks; brothers Jimmy Hamilton, Raymond “Sonny” Brooks, William “Billy” Hamilton, and Ralph “Tinker” Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife Marion “Corky” Childress Hamilton; daughters Patience Hamilton, Misty (Derek) Busbin, and Natasha Frame; son Edward Oscar (Rochelle) Hamilton, Jr.; grandchildren Devan, Alexis, Kayln, Denise, Harley, Hunter, Colby, Zachariah, Brandon, Austin, Isaiah, Maggie, Chazz, Calista, Dustin, and Anastasia; great grandchild Toby; brother Bobby (Connie) Hamilton; sisters Nancy (Fred) Henderson, Judy (Wes) Weisbrod, Bobbett Gunnells, Romona (Terry) Tobitt, Annett Getselman, Ruthie (Randy) Thompson, and Paulett (GW) Warner.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 30, from 9:30 am till 12:30 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 pm officiated by Bro. William Douglas. A graveside service will take place on Thursday at 3 pm at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Gallatin.
